our garden

It is more than the end
Just like a slumber
One wakes to eternity

Led into a garden
Of hollowed soil
You crawl from the ground
and wake from a slumber

While lovers are left somber
And enemies smile
Your party rages on
Though it has just begun

As it trades your life
In return a knife
So you can cut slits
Where your wings hide

Spread them out man
You've worked hard here's your fill
Spread them out woman
For you've gone as far as you can

And as the darkness pushes through
You see the sad faces caused by you
Do you think they will ever be the same
But they will move on

How will you die
Heartache?
A bullet?

For in this garden no fruits are rotten
We bury a speed in hopes for a tree
They grow to the clouds
Green vines all about

Could this be our soul

I would rather laugh with a friend
Than climb my tree to the heavens
I'm not curious to see
The truth about you and me

Death is not just the end
It's sadness
Bliss
Peace
Quick
Hard
Easy
Comforting
And everything in between

Death is everything
We live our lives to this chapter
But in the end we fear it
It's okay to be afraid
I am ready
