Hide the intensity
Of a heart beat
Portray no emotion
Keep feelings discrete
Repress all pain
To a world unknown
Locked in a closet
Not let it be shown
Smile away sadness
If one must pretend
Keep it in hiding
The sorrow will mend
Laugh through tears
From empty eyes
Cast a shadow
Keep truth in disguise
