Closed door
Like a baby at his birthday
I run to you with no delay
Feeling inside me is ready to explode
I only hear a whisper of your soul
I am here, you open the door
Overwhelming heartbeat I can't ignore
You smile to me but then
You bow your head with sudden pain
Not asking I know what answer would be:
"Can I stay? - No. You have to leave.
I was waiting to see you
But this time I can't make it true"
With greatest pain I swallow
I desperately hold my sorrow
No, I won't show you that
inside I'm dying
I am calm, I am not crying
I take a breath and step back
Suddenly your touch like an attack
Putting a note to my hand:
"Our love is still the same"
I run to you with no delay
Feeling inside me is ready to explode
I only hear a whisper of your soul
I am here, you open the door
Overwhelming heartbeat I can't ignore
You smile to me but then
You bow your head with sudden pain
Not asking I know what answer would be:
"Can I stay? - No. You have to leave.
I was waiting to see you
But this time I can't make it true"
With greatest pain I swallow
I desperately hold my sorrow
No, I won't show you that
inside I'm dying
I am calm, I am not crying
I take a breath and step back
Suddenly your touch like an attack
Putting a note to my hand:
"Our love is still the same"
