Your Baby
Years ago, so long ago:
You know, she might be gay
You’re gay, right? It’s okay
I don’t know
Years ago, not so long ago:
You know, it’s okay if you’re gay
you can bring home whomever,
I’ll always love you
Mom, I know!
Please, let me figure it out first
Not so many years ago:
Mom, can we talk?
I know you won’t mind, but
Gay, bi, I’m sure you don’t care,
but can you understand what I’m about to say next?
I love you
I know
After all, I’m your baby girl
But
I don’t want you to lose her,
but what if you do?
This is more than sexuality?
Isn’t it?
What if I were your baby boy?
I love you
You know, she might be gay
You’re gay, right? It’s okay
I don’t know
