WEST OF THE NILE
As the sun sets west of the Nile
The dead they begin to speak
As the dark sets in and they start to arise
Its you they are out to seek
With eyes that are ablaze
Their cold white skin can burn like a flame
With a thirst that cant be quenched
Into a night that gives no rest
The dead they walk first west of the Nile
To this truth there can be no denial
The scarab beetles lead the way
East towards the last glimmer of day
Like moths into the flame
For this burden they lay no blame
If the Egyptian god Seth has his way
Never again will you see the light of day
But only one should feel the shame
Although its not spoken Osiris is the name
So flee to the east towards the next sun
Because the nightly feast it has begun
Flee to the east towards the next sun
While you still have time to run
The dead they begin to speak
As the dark sets in and they start to arise
Its you they are out to seek
With eyes that are ablaze
Their cold white skin can burn like a flame
With a thirst that cant be quenched
Into a night that gives no rest
The dead they walk first west of the Nile
To this truth there can be no denial
The scarab beetles lead the way
East towards the last glimmer of day
Like moths into the flame
For this burden they lay no blame
If the Egyptian god Seth has his way
Never again will you see the light of day
But only one should feel the shame
Although its not spoken Osiris is the name
So flee to the east towards the next sun
Because the nightly feast it has begun
Flee to the east towards the next sun
While you still have time to run
