To the Artists, To the Cutters
I've known people
who've drawn for years.
Many had pictures
no one ever really saw.
All of them kept secrets
other's never knew.
After a while,
some had given it up.
Those who did not,
are still all in.
But
I know that they
never use paper nor pen.
Many of their pictures
require bandages.
And to those of you
who still feel
that almost addicting urge
to spill your Paint
across your Canvas...
Roll up your sleeves
and show me your art!
Roll them up!
Show me those scars!
And I will roll up mine
Because you need to know
I have also drawn
Many MANY times...
I now what its like
when your inspiration
is found in the horrid thoughts
and awful feelings
you have in the middle of the night.
To the Artists:
I know your hurting.
I know that
giving up this "style"
will be difficult to do....
To the Cutters:
I strive to bring you courage
with these words I've written
on this pad.
I write to give you hope
because SOMEONE understands.
Just remember there are others
who drench their arms in their ink, too
Please Know
that I LOVE ALL OF YOU!
