An Old Tale

Tell me of the story of old
For this I must know
Shall I acquire the treasures of gold
difficulties come and lo...
They have

As a journey's worth of time
So shall my work be
Nevertheless who am I to state the future
Why seek gold when you have the Lord

Why travel to such great measure
How we envy these meaningless riches
Assuredly I say to you dear friend
You are living yet dead

How fooled we were by the devil
Taking the ideal deep in thought
That once wealth is acquired
Shall it be solution to thine difficulties

You travel an endless mountain path
Will you reach the top
How vexed are we by devils
What strong measure Will you take
to reach your desired destination
