A KNIGHT IN DULL ARMOR

At the round table
Where the proud once sat
There is only misery
Men,s voices that once boomed
Now sadly and forlorn sit silently
The days of Arthur are now
A long forgotten past
All the glory for naught
As well as the meaning
Of the nobleness he taught
The chain-mailed knight
Has given up his seat
And thrown away his ring
He will not pledge fealty
To this honorless King
The quest he set out on
At such a tender young age
He now has sadly found
Has lost all meaning to
Those at the oaken round
In horror he has seen
The poors lives beaten down
Hard work turned to dust
Wondering what became of chivalry
As his sword starts to rust
It breaks his heart to realize
His purpose in life has passed
Cutting deep as it should
What he stood for torn away
The end of this brotherhood
