Waiting for Summer
laid in darkness broken up
asked a million questions of “why?”
till I could finally see
we are made for each other
took comfort in demons
realized they only tell lies
only want to devour your soul
so baby, please forgive me
for not seeing that sooner
It was a bitter cold
all through winter
finally I opened my eyes
we are explorers
let me show you off
because god damn I think you’re beautiful
and I want the world to know
spring brings us a fresh start
and I’m looking forward to that
running on the sandy beach
waves singing us a soothing song
kissing you till those tears fall
working while trying to reconnect
guess I’ll take what I can get
but I’m waiting for the future
a much needed vacation
seems like forever
since we dipped our feet in swimming pools
taking in the scenery
of you in your swimsuit
only a matter of time
get ready
for a whole lot of summer loving

As you can see, I am also very ready for summer lol. I put in my vacation days for around summer. I wrote this shortly after because I so want the cold to be gone. But I will say winter has been better than some years. Thanks for enjoying 😁

I really like those lines too. I originally had them a lot longer but decided to cut them down. They just went into how I thought demons were fighting for me, how I put so much trust into them and then realized they were attacking me the whole time. Felt it was a bit dragging though 😋 And yes, love is wonderful, but blossoms so much better in summer 🤗 Thanks for enjoying 😁

Ohio winters are so crappy that I wait for summer. Plus I like to go for walks in the sun ☀️ So yeah, you're a bit weird 😉
