What hands could never touch
How would one start
To describe what is you
There's so much to say
And my words are so few.
Maybe I'd begin
With your ever-longing eyes
Yearning for life
For freedom, for the sky.
Yearning for love
And for madness inside.
Anything within grasp
That makes life feel alright.
Maybe I'd start
With your wonderful Soul,
Constantly longing
To be out of control,
To be free of chains
And all that will bind,
To burn like a fire
Only fire could fight.
It doesn't really matter
With which line I start
For the true beginning
Is there inside your Heart.
That divine vessel
Containing all that you are,
Loving and bleeding
And showing its scars.
It is there this began
This admiration of you.
It is there that I ran
When no peace came in view.
Now here I do stand
Each word bringing truth.
Telling all that care to read
Of Beauty that is found in you.
I've found it is more
Than my eyes or hands could ever touch,
And for all that I've known,
Before me there yet lies so much.
To describe what is you
There's so much to say
And my words are so few.
Maybe I'd begin
With your ever-longing eyes
Yearning for life
For freedom, for the sky.
Yearning for love
And for madness inside.
Anything within grasp
