The lie of you.
The mind goes blank as the days go by
Where vast oceans turn to narrow rivers.
Judgement clouded by just some simple lie,
Simple words that send us to shivers.
I ask for how much innocents the stars have fooled
For the lies of wishes granted are only fabrication.
We go about our day unknowing that we be ruled,
By some proletarian sovereign of indistinct obligation.
Eyes to see perfidious commitment
To the unending ruse which we call fate
we stand to hope one day content
To know we won't, would be far too late.
For in this world of wishes and dreams,
To you I kneel bowing to your artifice sham.
For the world had been tricked or so it seems,
Sorrowful yet amazed by thine lavish scam.
