Orange pumps
With gunmetal buckle
Fierce and unafraid
Of judgment ---
You are sleek
And sexy
And unapologetically
Powerful.
You melt into me
And your citrus glow
Creeps up my nakedness
And exposes shape
I too often hide.
But tonight I'm taking back the night
With orange pumps as my guide.

Empowering is the first thing that came to my mind. I also loved the selected color and style vs. red or black stilettos. There seems to also be a metaphorical reference to women and their body image being in the closet.
