Dead Pillow Talk
I loved you enough
to dig up your grave
For you were the best
of love's sweet lies
my savior in a
stolen heartbeat of time
And look at you now
dirty despair
caked in your smile
hair all mussed
and a purple worm in your eye
the ache of death
staining your favorite gown
and some new perfume
I don't dare
to recognize
See
I brought wine
thought we
might reminisce
Mull our foolishness
of dreams gone by
relight the memory fires
kiss the ghost
of your soft lips
watching moonlight
paint the sky
I know you
always cherished
your precious
little boy
how we used to
wake up dancing
each twirl
around the heart
a dizzy
breathless
sigh
But I didn't come to dance
and you'd kill me for a lie
so if I promise to be quick
and 'cause I'm certain
you wont mind
Just once
for old time's sake
I'm gonna steal your panties
and then jump you
from behind
