It's not 'paradise'
if you're on the receiving end
of bad.
But if you behave,
then I guess it's all good.
Hmm ...
Not sure if I like or detest this poem?
I like it
in favor that you wrote it.
I detest (see first stanza of comment)
Enjoyed, 50/50

this gem of a comment is testament why I like it here to have stayed..this long.. my statement was majority based on the fact that "All sorts" sorta get along more often than not.
YES Dev! agree this ain't no paradise especially for the vulnerable but relative to what's out there, this is much better.. and in no way this was a bouquet/sugar coated licking up of Mods here... shadow guardians..has many connotations ;-)
welcome your presence here and your signature awesomely honest comment!! ThankYou Dev!!

There can never be a place where its completely perfect and everyone is happy but I firmly believe that one should be able to voice their opinion and be able to discuss things rationally and logically without the self, the ego getting involved.
Most often its one step forward two steps back but in the end, the most important thing to have is conviction and staying true to one's own beliefs.
Nemo will be back, i'm sure things will fall in place soon.
You have a kind heart KD..i'm proud to call you, a friend :)

Hate to repeat myself but Vee, same as my reply to Dev's comment, your statement is a testament to the point I am trying to state... atleast here(albeit to some extent) we sorta co-exist mostly peacefully despite our divergent backgrounds and more importantly-views!
You'll be surprised to know my background(no boogeyman here) and many other friends' yet we exist here sharing/tolerating to a great extent.
Ego- very apt observation my friend..the inseperable part of our existence here, unfortunately does come to fore ever so often but aren't we all human( not an excuse-nor ignoring the wrongness).
I've only ever been a member of couple of other language poetry sites and have seen enough of 'my way or the highway' approach taken by the powers to be at the sites(needless to say politely left them after sometime) didn't share much anyway!
Indeed agree 100% re staying true to one's conviction and belief.
So glad (infact overjoyed) to recieve such an awesome response from you my friend. I welcome you and your views sincerely!
Thank You dear Friend Rina!
regards

Re. (D)Utopia - the Utopia that is DU
It really is a "soul sanctuary" observed by "shadow guardians" who try their best to foster a positive energy of creation for aspiring and established poets. Having been a member of a few literary sites, I will say this is the most intimate and personal. I agree that there are many varying personalities from diverse cultural backgrounds. The integration at times is rough, like sandpaper; however, over time, as we come to know one another through our (soul)writes, our surfaces smooth and begin to accept one another in a loving and circular art form.
As with all communities (real and virtual) there are periodic challenges to maintain a peaceful existence. Varying cultural backgrounds expand behavioral "norms" instilled in each individual as we matured in our own personal environment. Such behaviors must be taken into account with dealing with situations that arise which may make us uncomfortable in our own boxes. When reason is applied and fails, then a more harsh determination must be explored and implemented for the greater good.
Guardians have and always will encourage open dialogue, and will mediate when necessary between two parties in dispute. However, such open dialogue should never include derogatory statements or inferences which deviate from the actual subject, or violate someone's privacy or the guidelines (everyone agrees to prior to joining) of the site.
This is a wonderful (D)Utopia for encouragement, inspiration, and support that is about to go to another level that we are very excited about! I personally would like to thank you all for your continued support and participation. Beyond the Guardians, it is YOU who makes the site what it is.
Thank you for the thought-provoking ink, Birdman.

Welcome dear friend Ahavati!
my apologies for the delay in thanking and response.
whilst my 'observation' re-shadow guardians as mentioned above has many connotations it is by no means negative, rather I tried to find a word that would encapsulate all shades of shadows we have as guardians! :-) I agree with you re the personal and intimate nature of this particular site which is a virtual home to many a troubled souls. I loved how you put metaphorically the integration, which at times rough though eventually leads to a loving art form.
It is an undeniable reality- a fact of life both virtual and real, more people more 'situaions/issues/at times problems' to deal with. And we do not live in a perfect world and none of the components that make this world/life are perfect either, it's a relative term I get it, hence when we come across a"relatively" perfect thing in life we appreciate it, and poetry as we all know is sometimes(if not most) expressing/taking it to the nth degree off appreciation- hence the final line/title Utopia.
Well guardians do what they are supposed to do humanly, not like a robot/algorithm with little margin of errors. And the amazing thing I have observed is, this is not a gathering of hardcore macho souls- poets by nature are one of, if not the most sensitive types of people-( I wonder whether the webmistress had a clue about what she's taking on when she established the site ;-) ) and managing the sensitivities that are eventually touched as part of interaction is not a small task, I appreciate the success in this regard by the team of guardians. Well, I do understand, just like any other club each site has a set of rules which needs to be complied/adhered/respected to and I appreciate the level of tolerance on this site, although some of us would disagree(their natural right) to the extent of tolerance or intolerance depending on the perspective..
I wish all the success in the endeavour re the next level. I would only represent myself when I say thank You for the prompt help and support that was provided whenever I needed and the Guardians know who am referring to. A special thanks to them.
I am glad this attempt at sparking some thoughts resulted in some sparkling thoughts from our esteemed peers! I thank everyone who shared their sparkling thoughts here!!
Thank You FRIEND!
Warm Regards
