Why ?

This question keeps rolling around in her head. And there truly is no answer. It just is. But it sucks, really. But she also knows it's time for her to get out if her own way. She just needs time, even that falls short.

She just wishes she understood life better. Like, how she fell in love or whatever that means. And married someone who turned on her after their child was born. She struggled for far too long to try to do what was best for all of them, losing herself in the process. Staying with someone who became verbally, emotionally abusive.  Finally had the courage to get herself out and her daughter out safely, from a situation that was heading south very quickly. Leaving everything behind.

Then this amazing, loving, caring, respectful man comes into her life. Sweeps her off her feet, and dies suddenly ten months later ... and that why???? Just keeps haunting.
