View Of The Lit Christmas Tree From The Highway
As the day gets dark I'm aware of what I'm capable of.
Thoughts stay.
Speed doesn't matter I'll get there I promise.
Looked out the car window to the left and there stood a lit Christmas tree.
Hidden above elevated high in the dark woods.
Like that tree I was alone but shining.
Feelings circle with my adventurous imagination and remind me that this could be the greatest time ever.
Doubts still fight with the moments.
Lost in texted words.
That's how I got here.
The gps says I'll be seeing you for the first time in 30 minutes.
Close but far away.
There will be plenty of words to say.
I remain the type that doesn't always talk with words.
Body language is a language pay attention.
Outside standing in this cold.
Guide me in my car for a moment.
Surprise surprise my hands can't stay to myself.
Different lips touched quick but enough time to ignite a small fire.
