I Can't Believe it
I Can't Believe I Made It This Far
My Thoughts, My Feelings, My Scars
These Scars Mean A lot To Me
Something that I want everyone to see
Others have em, I know it's not just me
But For a while I wanted to hide it,
For some time I couldn't describe it
I wanted to be left alone
Feeling shattered, depressed
Trying to make everyone happy, no neglect
Looking out for my family, my friends, even strangers
But what about myself?
Was anyone curious to know how I felt?
Saying "I'm Alright" is not the answer to everything
Wondering if anyone really cared, or was it just me?
I had a talk with God
And He said focus on yourself, don't worry
He said reach your goal, fulfill your dreams
Go to church and believe in me
Not only could I see my future
But I could see the difference in me
Spiritually, mentally, and physically
Joined a church, got a car
In College, job opportunities, and wanting to study abroad
The lesson is you get what you allow, focus on yourself & you'll sprout
Into a rose
A rose that represents strength, confidence
Each petals represents my hardships and that I'm still standing
Focus on yourself
With God, you can do anything ❤️
