Youthful Angst

I have once held hate for the heavy opinions of my elders.
Out of dire respect of their titles,
i’ve clawed at their throats,
Hoping to hear something of kin and kindness,
a reassurance that bonds truly exist.
Yet, i’ve been met by tears,
pounding on my back like weight of rain crushing leaves.
This cold, drenched emotion only leaves me feeling cold,
introduced to a breeze by of all i’ve needed in my life.
It seems bittersweet, coming to any stop,
My suffering longs for acclamation.
From your tongue's the best,
i’ve lost my words in fury.
How the world is always as crushing waves,
hits my ears over again.
Yet, i’ve been seeking out horizons my whole life.
Time has always been our enemy,
but tonight when the sun dives deep under water,
Transformations occur in those awake,
and to sleep will dazzle awoken eyes.
Life’s budding flower never dies,
Only gives new light.
