You were there
when I was in a delusional state
with no one to watch over me
you were there
*
the times I got behind the wheel
demons chasing me
going a hundred miles an hour down the highway
completely out of my mind
you kept me and others safe
*
with silent whispered reminders
you told me to rest
even if I couldn't sleep
*
such a painful time it was
starved because I would forget to eat
you fed me wild berries off an obliging tree
*
all these things I forget
when I let my demons have reign over me
let the darkness be my only light
*
the fight I fought
not alone I could hear and see Michael
warrior soldier picked me up
showed me three year old me
safe in his pocket
*
so many days you kept me hidden
from the human devils
who I was easy pickings for
*
many tragedies could have befallen me
when I was in my manic state
the light and dark in me clashing
*
a battle is raged for my heart
I forget to give you credit
beautiful creator
thank you for being there

Ahhh . . . Yes indeed, my friend, I could have written this.
As they say. Been there. Done that. I saw death staring
me in the face so damn many time. I just gritted my teeth
and stared back. How I got to this point in my life I will

thank you Keith i'm humbled by your comment.. I was just reflecting on my life and remembering when I know the Archangel Michael was looking out for me.. I felt our creator deserved some credit..
