Let's
The sun is rising,
So I guess I lost that bet.
Keep moving darling,
We're not out the woods just yet.
And someone told me one summer's day,
that nostalgia's not what it used to be.
But I yearn for the age of run and play,
The time we saw but didn't see.
So let's roam the woods and the vast green pastures,
And rediscover all our lost worlds,
And answer questions that no one's asked us,
In our dark minds we'll find the pearls.
But oh, I know, we'll find what we have cast away,
And oh, I know, we'll find out who we were those days.
Down alleys lined with light and dust,
So distant from the crowded streets,
We talk of all we hope to come about,
Walk where past and present one day meet.
Let's walk where time is visible,
Where we can see beyond our sight,
Where our fear has no hand upon us,
And we can act beyond our might.
And oh, I know, we'll find this place of peace one day
And oh, I know, we'll cast this doubt we have away.
So let's haunt the lost and forgotten spaces,
And scare the ghosts til they show their faces,
And run away incase they chase us,
back to where we're from.
We won't waste our lives so dance with me,
Under the shade of this lonely tree,
With our newfound sight we can finally see,
What we'd forgotten for so long.
That beyond the clouds and the silver linings,
beyond this place of wrath and tears,
There really is no point divining,
The pain to come in future years.
And oh, we know,
We've found what we have cast away,
And oh, we know,
We had it always anyway.
The sun is sinking,
Well I guess I should have known,
We can stop now darling,
We're finally on our own,
Let's sit down on this old tree's bones,
And show each other what time has shown.
So I guess I lost that bet.
Keep moving darling,
