Embrace

I'm fine on the surface, but there's a battle within
I scribble in my note book, get mad with my pen
 
I am under the weather, & so I drown in a drink
I've had just enough to have unwound me I think
 
I'm ignoring reality & I often want to escape it
Life has not become, the way I wanted to make it
 
Words flow together like they're rocking a beat
It sucks having people that your not going to meet
 
Many people on this site have a way with the words
Displaying their emotion and it is o.k.when it hurts
 
I loose energy over time. I'm not weak from the start
& It's great to hear somebody speak from the heart
 
Sometimes when I read it's like they make it for me
Life's not always as hard as, how we take it to be
 
Depression leads me to think I deserve to be smoking
Sometimes it helps me to read the words of the broken
 
I'm searching for a spark that's like lighting a match
Words can be a erotic and exciting to catch
 
My poetry sucks and I'm ashamed to have you read it
Spelling mistakes that they contain should be deleted
 
If I hide behind a mask, it's a fucking disguise
All I want to do is have a look in your eyes
 
This expression of words, while I be in a hole
Is me opening up, so you can see in my soul
 
I need to find a girl whose been awake from the start
I'll always treat her right. There'll be no breaking her heart
 
My life's off course, but i will make it come around
If problems want to grapple, I will take them to the ground
