As he falls too deep

There's a fire burning at the bottom of the sea
water as warm as the heavens rain
beyond the ocean blue the setting sun sinks
as he sinks towards his grave

But as he falls too deep
he is alluded by the sense that he is free

He casts back to a memory once so distilled with the prospect of tranquillity
a yearning for his freedom out of the clutches of his mercy
stepping upon that wishing stone he realises the root of his shadow has been overthrown
by a self inflicted persecution, an execution, unable to compromise dissolution

But as he falls too deep
the shadow of his past continues to over look him

As a slip of temptation has out ran his patience
the glittering snow, pure crystal driven snow, Bolivian marching powder blow
its his dame, his mistress, masked in a masquerade of agony and bliss
a dangerous forbidden land, no place for the afflicted man

But as he falls too deep
vying the place he succumbs to a path of simple pleasures and greed

But as he continues to fall too deep
he plummets to the depths of silence after a verse of a bitter sweet symphony
but as he falls too deep
black leather stapled to his heart in a soul burning apathy
