Only Then
I woke up to the sky gleaming its shades of purple hazed through slicks of blue, and as I take in the air that breathes on the wind, I felt as though I'd found you.
I looked far to long, thorns of beauty dug into me to trick me and hold me to physical bliss, intoxicating me with the poisons of evils kiss.
I stood high above on edge of cliffs that promised a deathly fall to hell, and I searched for you in the valleys below and the clouds above.
I braved rapids hoping to catch a glimpse of you throwing rocks at the rivers side, and when I found all empty, 'cept for fish that seemed to rush to leave my sides, alas defeated I stopped to allow myself to cry.
I gave up on searching and fell into temptation, a cast away on a lonely isle. Only when I'd given up on finding you did your eyes cry down to weep with mine and only then did I gain my wings to join you to rein with the purple flames of my heart laid upon your aura of blue.
Only then could I be complete and only then did the wind carry your hands to graze along my skin.
