we've been sitting here

At least you were engaged in conversation! Here--sadly enough---when forced to wait for more than just a few minutes on restaurant service there are those who grab their cell phones....seeing how they can't seem to communicate without them :/
( Ummm....maybe your waiter went to check on your (previously) mentioned condiments......)
