Science is "The Word of God"

Christ said, "{God's] Word is truth"(john 17.17).
The reverse is also true:
Truth is God's Word.
Scientific facts = truth = God's Word !!
In which case scientists are men (and women) of God.
Scientists become a sort of priesthood.

It was Johan Kepler, the astronomer in the 1500s who wrote,
"Like a priesthood studies the holy text.
we astronomers study the sacred Book of Nature
That God has created for that purpose.
So we have become like a priesthood."
(Words to that effect).

Yes, like God raised up the Gentiles in the form of the Church to make the Jews "jealous"(Romans 11.11),
He has also raised up the scientists to make the Christians jealous!

Paul taught that "Nature is the revelation of God by God"(Romans 1.19-21).
This has come to be known as "General Revelation."
It complements Special Revelation (Bible) like men and women
compensate for each others shortcomings.
They are like polar opposites.

But it isn't Nature itself so much as THE STUDY of Nature,
Just like it isn't the Bible so much as the study of it.
Illiterates can gain nothing from the Bible.
Ditto with Nature. Illiterates need not apply.
But who can "read" Nature? Scientists can.
Astronomers put starlight thru spectroscopes which break it down like a prism.
They can literally "read" the data encrypted in starlight.
By studying the "red shift" they have found the universe is expanding.
It is starlight that has revealed the 13.8 billion-years-old age of the universe.
Of course the Background Radiation signal has contributed also.

That ancient age of the Cosmos is to "the glory of God,"
It is God who has enabled us to discover it - via General Revelation !!!
Yes, by the light in the heavens giving us the  Big Bang Theory,
"The heavens [really do] declare the glory of God"(Ps 19.1).
