Perhaps people don't realize the difference between lucid dreams which you are in control of and involuntary dreams that come at night. Did not make that clear in the poem.

Yes-this particular dream was very intense. It was always the same and came in intervals. Tried to put into words what it felt like -- probably could have been more descriptive ;)

I'd lie to know more about the dream, but I like what is here. I wonder if any dream is involuntary. Are they reflections of daylight memories or original though from the subconscious? We have our brains in our head all of our lives and yet still we don't really know where dreams come from. Mine seem to pluck bits and pieces of real life and sometimes real people who never seem to be in their normal space when in my dreams. I rarely dream of women I know in the waking world, but I did have a reoccurring dream about an unrequited love that would always wake me up just before we kissed. One time I woke up kissing the air, lol. Talk about disappointment...
Thanks for sharing this with me. Luckily in this recurring dream of mine, passion with one particular person was always fully consummated and left me waking up in a blissful state. The only disappointment was that the dream did not occur often enough. :)
