Denied
Denial,
To deny one's heart what it craves most,
To live while dying to hold them in your grasp,
To know where one's soul travels,
To know where you belong, but deny the meeting,
To settle for is what it is while knowing what could've been.
To love what loves you back, but have fate and circumstance draw you away.
To live each day never touching, never tasting,
Always contemplating giving in to the desire that eats at you, the want that torments your heart.
But to deny one's self the option, to deny your love, to kill the one you love slowly while trying to save them from yourself.
To never let them hear the words you long to say,
Believing that them knowing would serve no other purpose, but to torment in the same way you torment yourself.
To love
To deny one's hearts desire,
Is to slowly commit suicide, commit murder of yours and their soul.
To deny is to slowly kill,
From the inside out.
To deny one's heart what it craves most,
To live while dying to hold them in your grasp,
To know where one's soul travels,
To know where you belong, but deny the meeting,
To settle for is what it is while knowing what could've been.
