White Lies and Deep Blues
Just a spoonful swiftly medicates all the pain away
After the laughter no longer echoes of nature's way
Art is a temporary fix concealing ever deepening scars
Painted in the space between the black night and white stars
Soothing to the eye while blinding an old burnt-out mind
Born in the void hearts leave between beats time cannot unwind
Read between the lines where the folds in space are easily unfurled
So tired of deplorable lies disguising a white, colorless world
Pouring from the sides of eyes glowing in purified hues
Drowning in the depths of life's deep ocean of blues
The verse of the Earth cries out in a guttural moan
Listening to the Moon that howls silently of being alone
In a sky full of wishes sung by the voices of solitary souls
Burying themselves in the sorrow of bottomless holes
Where shadows cast light on the truth that has always been known
That even in darkness a heart radiates love all on it's own
Exist in the warmth your own heart bleeds deep under your skin
Where the fine line between darkness and light is infinitely thin
