Love vs Pain

Love vs Pain.
            Love blinds us to Pain.
But when Love is doubted
                       Pain takes its prize.
Blinding us to the light we once clung to.
                                         Making us hide.
Hide in the darkness of our own hearts.
                                      Growing Pain in the gloom.
Pain keeps us hidden.
                    Hidden from Love, the only cure.
A Paradox.
         Shall we be swaddled in Pain?
Shall we be ignorant to Love?
                            Or shall we answer its calls?
Shall we open our eyes to the light?
                                   No darkness is complete.
Love is there, as it always is,
                              If only we can rise above our Pain
And choose to Love.
                  And we can stand in the light again.
Having ended our own Pain.
                         And knowing Love once more.
