FRACTAL

If I could remember
Every moment we've had
To the disgust of what's inside
I think I'd be glad
At the behest of my demons
All memories wiped
Now the lake is a river
And my core is revived

But something still lingers
In the depths of black soil
I out-stretch my fingers
Reminisce of that coil
And my breath is but dew
Upon morning loam
I whisper through the phone

'I'm coming home...'

Usher to me please
Your deepest confessions
Stay true to yourself
I won't be here for long
Nor will I hear you long
For I'm beginning to drift away
That's what I thought that day

But alas, here I slumber
In this thicket of dead Summer
Waiting for an answer
Inside the fractal of life
I will never stop searching
Until I remember

I was by the water
Boon of jet-black drapery
Befitting of a princess
Clothed in raven wings
The moon, quicksilver
Cast upon the ocean
We lay there in silence
Where midnight was golden
