Thanks so much KDAmB, knew you would get the gist of it.
It comes and goes you know, been a bit devoid of the creative spirit lately and profuse apologies for not commenting on your work or others in some time. It's not that i don't care to, i have been unable to recently, hope you understand and it will change again.
i am a member of a football forum (soccer you call it) and i've put together a few poems relating to our team. Yesterday i wrote this one about our match on Saturday against Huddersfield. i am a Derby supporter and we are the Rams and Steve McClaren our manager is known as Mac.
It's getting a whole bunch of likes so i am happy.
Puny Huddersfielders prepare for a smiting
A Ramming and even the occasional biting
The Mac's got us charged up for the fighting
It's plain as day and it's on the wall in writing
Gonna get ugly there will be no highlighting
Our battle roar is a baa it's less than inviting
We find ewes like you lined up in a row exciting

Wow! Another soccer ⚽ fanatic! I know Derby county, and in Macas you've surely got a gem of a manager. After all he honed his skills under Sir Alex and his own record is there to see. Stadium of light... is it still the same name of their home ground? And hey such beaut rhyme and rhythm, why don't you publish it on its own??

Nah, Sunderland are at The Stadium Of Light, we have The Ipro, named after some silly energy drink or other, as if you get something for nothing hah.
At least it's not The Monsanto Stadium or some other vile thing. It used to be Pride Park and we Rams still refer to it as such. We had Mac before but our owner fired him for flirting with Newcastle United. Yes we are lucky to have him again and he is lucky the owner forgave him.
