Sleeping with Silence
Do you hear the wind
As it blows against the shudders
Do you see the moonlight underneath
The covers?
Do you hear the wolves
As they howl at the sky
Do you hear the laughter of the people walking by?
Sleep with no worries
The night is still young
Sleep here in silence
Cuddled up to no one.
Sleep with the window closed
It's getting kind of cold
Sleep with all the blankets
Instead of all alone...
Sleep knowing that there's nothing left to fear
Sleep knowing that there's no one here
The wind will blow through the trees
Drowning out the misery
The wind will blow through the trees
Darling just try to sleep
Everything will be alright
You're safe and sound
Everything will be alright
There's nobody around
You're all alone
There's no need for violence
You're all alone
Sleeping with silence
As it blows against the shudders
Do you see the moonlight underneath
The covers?
Do you hear the wolves
As they howl at the sky
Do you hear the laughter of the people walking by?
Sleep with no worries
The night is still young
Sleep here in silence
Cuddled up to no one.
Sleep with the window closed
It's getting kind of cold
Sleep with all the blankets
Instead of all alone...
Sleep knowing that there's nothing left to fear
Sleep knowing that there's no one here
The wind will blow through the trees
Drowning out the misery
The wind will blow through the trees
Darling just try to sleep
Everything will be alright
You're safe and sound
Everything will be alright
There's nobody around
You're all alone
There's no need for violence
You're all alone
Sleeping with silence
