Journey

I have walked through streams and rivers alike,
Through valleys and over mountains.
I have seen flowers bloom and wilt alike.
And I have wept for both.
What is so grand as witnessing beginning and ending alike?

Summer has graced me and the sun has kissed my skin.
Winter has assailed me and its chill has bitten my flesh.
Is it not my duty to love both with equal passion?
The seasons come and go so fast, faster than I at least,
How is my affection to match them?

I have been mad, and i have known clarity.
Maybe I have walked through one hurricane too many,
Or sat in the rain for one hour more than I should.
But i do believe I have learned something in these ill advised ventures,
Both in gentle shower and savage storm my mind has found peace.

So many places I have walked. And sat.
How many wonders have I yet to witness?
Which ones endeavor to make me weep? Or laugh?
And which ones intend to show me love's moods and tempers?
I've decided I shall walk further still, until perhaps i witness life's grand design.
