One Day
Today was the day I told you I loved you,
Today marks the day that I totally forgot you,
Everyday was a journey into the depths of your darkness,
This game we call life you made it so bliss,
I can't forgive all the hurt that has been done,
You always pretended that your heart I had won,
But time reveals all as so says the song,
You wanted to protect me; disarray, right is wrong,
I will always remember; I will always Love,
The warmth of your soul elegant, gentle like a dove,
Please don't forget me in the next life,
We could both run be free from all strife,
And only then can we truly be one,
As we tell tales of how we met to our grandson!
