Lawn Mower Man

The lawnmower man came my way today
And took my good old friend away
A '98 Murray Classic
That thing was old; damned near Jurassic.

Yet, she was a dear friend. Loved her with all my might
Lawnmower man took her in broad daylight
I'll not let it cause me spite
The master's good and it's alright

Life is funny in so many ways
We have great nights, sometimes bad days
I pray however, he does not visit again
Against the grim reaper, he shall not win

Upon his return, he will surely die
Sliced, dissected, cremated, crushed, sharpened sickle passing through his dying eye
As final thoughts pass through his rapidly fading mind
I have crossed the "lawnmower man" ......for the very last time.
