Make it Work
Twenty years in the making
And still its flaws are covered up
Watery diamonds
Shatter on my silk bath robe
I've fallen from the light
Now I'll dig the earth
To find the rotting roots of glory
In limbo still
Between Heaven and Earth stilled
Shall I cast another toy aside
Like I did with an empire
I'll make the world go round
Turn its hands from the inside
If I grasp an atom with my eye
Can my whole life be englobed
In such a tiny, puny vessel
Nearly as old as imagination
A billion years in the making
And still virtue is optionnal
No one is sleeping
Around here anyway...
And still its flaws are covered up
Watery diamonds
Shatter on my silk bath robe
I've fallen from the light
Now I'll dig the earth
To find the rotting roots of glory
In limbo still
Between Heaven and Earth stilled
Shall I cast another toy aside
Like I did with an empire
I'll make the world go round
Turn its hands from the inside
If I grasp an atom with my eye
Can my whole life be englobed
In such a tiny, puny vessel
Nearly as old as imagination
A billion years in the making
And still virtue is optionnal
No one is sleeping
Around here anyway...
