I WROTE LINDA A SONG

 
A heart warming poem
An idea presented to brain
Indicating that I wanted to know more than her name
No
I never got her number
At the time
Not dating
But talking to another
Turns out
She just wasn't what I wanted
But
During that moment
I had to let you go
Now with this moment in time
It could be
All about you
Reminding me of the saying
"If you love something let it go and if it comes back to you, it was meant to be yours."
Just seeing her smile
Reminded my mind
Of all things
I've come to like about her style
Admired and adored
How could I not want to learn more?
As you can see
Heartbeats don't lie
Now that we've entered
back in each other lives
I remember when you spoke back to my heart
If only
I could have recorded the sparks
Capturing the response
To a work of art
Placed before me
Is a presence
A present
That was heaven sent
Oh Linda
The one who told me
That she only likes half of my poetry
That's what I respected greatly
Hoping you won't come to hate me
For writing about other ladies
Understand that
My heart is searching for answers
Looking for the cure
To heartache
Experience keeps me questioning
Heating the flames
To an already blazing fire
There's Linda ready
And then there's Dakwesta ready
Are you up to the task of being dakwesta's lady?
I suppose
The other question would be
Is Dakwesta ready?
For the responsibilities associated with honesty and longevity
When looking afar
Gotta wonder
Was it meant to be?
Linda and Dakwesta
I guess overtime we'll see
