Rain (3:00 AM Calls Part 3)
I sit outside
The rain falling
Soaking my clothes
His tirade echoed
His cold anger
On constant repeat
"I've done everything
I possibly can
For your happiness
And you refuse
To accept love
Is it me?"
He would demand
His hand gripping
My throat, tight
I just stood
Accepting his words
For I knew
I hadn't love
Not anymore really
Not for awhile
I knew it
He knew it
We were ended
For now anyway
I, his poison
He, my toxin
The rain falling
Soaking my clothes
His tirade echoed
His cold anger
On constant repeat
"I've done everything
I possibly can
For your happiness
And you refuse
To accept love
Is it me?"
He would demand
His hand gripping
My throat, tight
I just stood
Accepting his words
For I knew
I hadn't love
Not anymore really
Not for awhile
I knew it
He knew it
We were ended
For now anyway
I, his poison
He, my toxin
