Like A Bee To A Flower
The morning dew glistening, as the sun rises above the horizon
droplets sparkling in the new day.
The fragrance of your bloom wafting through the air, stirring,
attracting in an oh so familiar way.
Drawn to you, closer and closer, settling gently upon your petals
all a glow.
Folds opening under my delicate touch, slowly your nectar
begins to flow.
Unfolding, parting, your petals unfurl.
Exposing the delicious nectar of your pearl.
Deeper I probe, sucking, licking, taking you in.
The taste is so luscious it should be a sin.
To dine on your honey, my life is complete.
As I leave you spent of those juices so sweet.
But for a short time I depart, only to return.
For another round of succulence I always will yearn.
