Never that life

so am here, looking admiring,
the life i so longed now retiring
My dream still a dream to it never moving
my life snatched and no one i keep blaming
from a distance i admire but never that life will i have

i dream i fantasize, i sleep i wake,
look around to reality i wake,
my life my dreams my future never mine,
i am who i am but who i am i am not,
for my life never that life i wanted.

i don't regret, allowed to dream,
i visit in my mind, i explore the wonders,
what it would be i will never know, will never reach,
so i look, i stare, i ponder, i reminisce,
never that life but that life i still dream
