Tranquil Crow
Perched upon a power line
You sit doused in an ebony shade
Slowly becoming one with shadows
Where hast thou gone,
tranquil crow?
Tell me, that I might know
I miss you so
You'd sit eyeing a million souls
Selling their time for food
All unaware they walk below
Such a tranquil crow
Where dost thou roam?
So far from the stillness
that was your home
Watching the river of respect
Slowly grow crimson
Impregnated with death
As words form bullets
And fire erected from breath
It'd illuminate you so
And the only calm I knew
Is the calm you'd show
I miss you so, tranquil crow
You sit doused in an ebony shade
Slowly becoming one with shadows
Where hast thou gone,
tranquil crow?
Tell me, that I might know
I miss you so
You'd sit eyeing a million souls
Selling their time for food
All unaware they walk below
Such a tranquil crow
Where dost thou roam?
So far from the stillness
that was your home
Watching the river of respect
Slowly grow crimson
Impregnated with death
As words form bullets
And fire erected from breath
It'd illuminate you so
And the only calm I knew
Is the calm you'd show
I miss you so, tranquil crow
