Alone

I've learned to  trust no one,
It's better that way in the long run.
In a room full of people, and always alone,
Thats why I'm always on my phone.
Isolated, in solitary, me, myself and I,
Oh, but this time you won't see me cry.
My sorrow runs deep,
I want to forever go to sleep.
Lethargic, listless, lifeless,
Mindless, in a crisis.
A walking catastrophe,
Its down right blasphemy.
The daily hustle,
Lets see how many feathers we can rustle.
Although you might need some muscle,
If you want to get down and tussle.
This life, it sucks,
Always chasing the big bucks.
But for what? The high?
Oh yea you lie.
Stuck in denial, its been awhile,
Since you could look someone in their eye and stay awhile.
They don't want you around,
When you've been spun right round.
But if you stay straight, they'll stay with you pound for pound.

In a room full of people, never alone,
sometimes I wish I had a clone.
No more being sad and confused
battered and abused,
No more being alone,
But remember you didnt get here on your own.
Maybe now you can be the paving stone,
Get out there make it known,
That no one has to be alone.
