Diamonds
How do I wear this
Corroded black veil
Covers the face of
Someone as foolish as me
This is the ending
Of everything I've know
The final palpitation
Within the dying me
You take my heart beat
You hold my dead soul
And then you crush it down
Into a tiny diamond
The look in your eyes
That says you hate me
The voice that whispers
Will say the same thing
Can you someday
Share in something
Without crushing
Me to nothing
Corroded black veil
Covers the face of
Someone as foolish as me
This is the ending
Of everything I've know
The final palpitation
Within the dying me
You take my heart beat
You hold my dead soul
And then you crush it down
Into a tiny diamond
The look in your eyes
That says you hate me
The voice that whispers
Will say the same thing
Can you someday
Share in something
Without crushing
Me to nothing
