Distance
night falls
like a thick duvet
over the cold blue sky
late september days
heavy on my mind
a woman so pure
scarred from past lives
yet strong as hard wood floors
she comforts me from far
I feel the warm
soft touch of words
in what feels like a storm
though the time is half
I miss her so
so much more than I remembered last
I wish I didn’t go
each night
I pull up my duvet
over my cold blue eyes
late, on september days
like a thick duvet
over the cold blue sky
late september days
heavy on my mind
a woman so pure
scarred from past lives
yet strong as hard wood floors
she comforts me from far
I feel the warm
soft touch of words
in what feels like a storm
though the time is half
I miss her so
so much more than I remembered last
I wish I didn’t go
each night
I pull up my duvet
over my cold blue eyes
late, on september days
