We shared our day
And had our fun
It’s now a little sad to say
That it’s all “said and done”
Is it too cruel to say that I used you
And that I have no regrets?
After all I can’t help remembering that you’ve used me too.
Now I’m just repaying that debt.
But from these thoughts I digress.
There’s something I feel of dire need to confess.
I seriously like you, Jordy.
(Oh I know isn’t it just lovely?)
But it’s okay. I know that you don’t feel the same.
And if I ever DO let you read this, I’m sorry rash thinking is to blame.
Why do you think I said we were just a fling?
Because I know that girls like me just aren’t your thing.
In other words, don’t worry I know I’m not your type.
Now please don’t lie to me and tell me what I’m saying isn’t right
I still remember that you kept asking me if I was okay and what was wrong
I was afraid to tell you that I was trying to quell the emotions that I’ve kept hidden for so long.
I was afraid that you’d think it was due to what we were doing and get up and walk away.
That would have probably hurt me more than any words you could ever say.
Now I’m going to give what I have to say next the old colleague’s try.
I beg of you if your reading this, when you get done don’t let yourself lie.
All I ask of you is the truth.
Not to sneak around it like some type of sleuth.
If I let you see this I’m probably feeling quite stupid and embarrassed now.
