The Shower
As I stand in the shower
My body resonates with heat
The steaming water trickling down my body
Drop after drop I watch the water hit my shoulder
sliding down my torso, the droplet reaches the darker skin of my genitals
Moving my neck to the left, just to watch it slide down the other side
As I admire the the water riding the curves of my body into their own demise
Thoughts scatter through my mind like cockroaches when you turn on a light
Flurrying my emotions in a whirlwind of confusion which each thought
Past girlfriends and the moment we shared together, remembering the joy
Each moment brought upon myself and the significant other
Then the thoughts jump to moment of heartache and heartbreak
The loss of joy happens quicker then the steam evaporating in the shower
My mind begins to tread the tracks of anger and disappointment as
I begin to think of last time I spent time with my family
Happiness and piece of serenity fill me up as I reminisce
The water seems to be losing its fiery sting, turn the knob a little
There we go, now where was I in my land of thoughts....
In my moment of forgetfulness I glance back down at my family jewels
Such simplicity in its shape and physical purpose it sparks the memory
Of the last time I made love, her body was thick and full
Soft lips and wet hair are what I see as I envision our night in this exact shower
My body becomes hot with desire as I watch him grow
I wonder what happened to her, how she has been all this time
The feeling of loneliness shrouds over me as the water finally starts to become cold
Damn it now I have lost my train of thought again, derailed from its original destination
Turn the knob once again, but this time I am not greeted with the warm water
Instead it only begins to get colder, as I turn off the water
I wonder what today will be like, what life will throw my way today
As I dress myself and prepare for my day, I am filled with joy and excitement
I must say I love the Shower
My body resonates with heat
