David... my dear friend..what matters is your honest opinion/view...am sure there' some more was needed to make it clear from my end...
my attempt here was to describe the moment when two eyes meet and so much is communicated without a word being said, and when that communication is the confirmation of your fear i.e. mutual falling for eachother, the heart knowing what's coming tries to escape before the message delivered to the eye reaches it...but the speed of sight is the speed of light, here I used the rhetorical mach 7 (7 times the speed of sound), the heart has no chance of escaping the chest, for it knew it's not gonna be the same again...
I admire your sheer honesty of opinion. No words enough to express my gratitude mate!!

yep, (lol) It was me, having a dumbass moment - your explanation made the penny drop and as I suspected it was a truly beautiful poem. It's a double dumbass moment when I realised that I have experienced that very thing - when I met my wife :-)

I always try to be honest in my comments and feel that if done with love, truth is always the best policy :-)
