Disconnected

I feel like
to you
I am a virus inflicted
computer
that once restarted
throws a series
of questions
inquiries
alerts
and nuisances
to you and
all you respond
are
'not now, try again tonight'
'okay'
'cancel'
'x'
impersonal replies
that show just about
has much feeling
as you perceive me with
short erratic
answers that show no
depth or thought process
within them
but all you expect
is a followed command.
'x'
turn off the screen
'sleep'
I am still here
maybe just outside
of your sight of things
but just pushed out of mind
'debug'
I am not some system
that you can shut down
and hope to find
brand new the
next time you decide
to open my eyes.
'restart.'
I am not a code
that can be unplugged
and if the tables
were turned
and you felt the way
i do currently
this keyboard
would gather dust
and the wifi
would be receiving
final notice bills .
'disconnect'
I just want to know
you are capable
of listening
instead of typing,
receiving hacked messages
and warnings
that I decide to
put on the screen,
you say you hate
technology
but there is a lot
of pressure for me
to be it.
'mute'
You say
that technology takes
over relationships
but we have become it.
'shut down'.
