JUST THINK ( i wouldnt really call it a poem )

"I believe that life is about timing, opportunity and choices.It was an opportunity at the right time, for a wonderful young man like you to make the right choice, and I knew u weren't ready but, I just didn't want you to miss it. Sometimes you just need someone to tell you you can do even when you don't know if you can."


A quote I heard today and for some reason it really stuck to me. Some of us will be going back to school and this is mainly for you guys. Looking back on my entire middle/high school year if there was one thing I could tell each and everyone one of you it would be this "dare to be different". Dare to stand out, dare to be someone that others don't see as an "original" kid. In a world full of people all around you it can be hard. Being different from the rest of your peers isn't always fun nor is it easy, but sometimes the not easy way is the best way to go. There will be SO many opportunities as school starts back up again for you to make the right decision in the hardest of moments. To say yes to opportunities you know you should say no to, to pass by the kid that you can see is in pain weather it be physically, mentally or emotionally. When all it really takes is for you to maybe strike up a conversation with them to brighten there day, or to pass up a single day at lunch with your friends and instead join up with those who are alone. what you do with that OPPORTUNITY is your CHOICE. But in all honesty there are so many times that I made that CHOICE to pass up OPPORTUNITIES like that and if i could go back i would. Because when its all said and done we are all human. Just looking to make it in a world that's filled with so much crap that shouldn't even be here. And I mean living a life trying to please everyone and have everyone ALWAYS be happy isn't possible from just one person. So the heck with it. Stand up, dare to be different, dare to stand out, lets be honest your going to stand out in one way or another so why not make it count for something that will make a difference, dare to be that kid that others can't see as "original" even if they tried!
