-drifting death
I don't want to give up on your smile
it remembers whats left of my soul
you whisper to me without knowing
I could listen for as long as it takes
to travel the distance between the
stars in your eyes
if you would but remember when you were
crawling through the grass, losing interest in
a world your ancient tears left behind, would
you return and search through the Thistle and
Briar patch, if the rain fell the same as in the past
where you drifted like death was your only purpose
and your body was swollen from the rash
would you then, give this grain of sand, another chance...
